MTIC Policies and Procedures 2017-07-26T15:53:44+00:00

Students are required to maintain 70% or better grades in all of their evaluations in order to establish and maintain satisfactory progress in the program. Courses are evaluated on the basis of attendance, punctuality, participation, technique and application of methods and by written examinations.

MTIC Grading System

  • A = 4 points = 90% – 100%
  • B = 3 points = 80% – 89%
  • C = 2 points = 70% – 79%
  • D = 1 point  = 60% – 69%
  • F = 0 points = 59% – or less
  • I = 0 points = incomplete

A minimum of 90% attendance in the program is required, as well as all make up of missed content. Please note that missing classes can create a serious conflict in your educational process and can require additional time and fees to make up missed content. Being present and on time for all courses will provide the student with the opportunity to maximize their success both in the program and in their career. MTIC prefers that and expects students to make every effort to attend every class and to strive for excellence and success as a student and as a professional. Students are responsible for 100% of their student clinic time.

Probation and Disciplinary Actions

A student may be placed on probation, be expelled, suspended, disqualified, or warned for failure to meet the academic standards, financial obligations, cheating, abuse of any kind, drugs, weapons or explosives, or any acts of disregard for professional conduct or any acts that are disruptive to the operations of the school or the education. Students may be disqualified from attendance at the school. Probation and Disciplinary actions will be reevaluated at the end of a quarter or before to determine the student’s status. These must be resolved after one-quarter or before the next quarter starts.

Students are expected to conduct themselves in a professional manner at all times.
