Complaint Policy
It is highly recommended that the students attempt to resolve any challenges that occur so their educational experiences will continue to be a positive experience. In the event that a student or teacher has a complaint or grievance to resolve, the following process is to be followed:

Complaint Procedure

The complaint procedure is the same for students, faculty and staff and is published in the student catalog as below. The administration will respond in five days after receiving a written complaint. The written documentation of complaints will be kept in the administrative office.

If a student has a complaint with a teacher(s), it is the student’s responsibility to either:
Bring the complaint to the attention of the teacher(s) with whom they have a grievance, and attempt to resolve the problem, or...

Bring the complaint directly to the administration in writing and request assistance in resolving it with the teacher(s). The written complaint should include the nature of the complaint, the date of the occurrence of the problem, the name of the individual(s) involved in the problem or other students, the facts of the matter, and it must be signed with a return address and telephone number.

If a teacher has a complaint with a student, the teacher must contact the administration and present accurate written information regarding their concerns with the student(s). Once a complaint has been accurately reported, the student who submitted the complaint will receive a response from the appropriate department within (10) days.

The Director will propose a plan of action. If the problem is unresolved, then the Director will assume responsibility for making a final decision. Once a decision has been reached, the involved individuals will be notified as soon as possible.

Complaints that cannot be resolved by direct negotiation between the student and the school may be filed with the Division of Private Occupational Schools of the Colorado Department of Higher Education, 1290 Broadway, Suite 804, Denver, Co. 80203. There is a 2-year limitation on the Division of Private Occupational Schools taking action on student complaints.
